An organization represents a legal entity. Organizations can be assigned contact persons, who exercise a particular role in this organization. This function is to be specified for the contact person as a character-string property, in addition to the person's general properties. Furthermore, organizations have a list of cases/records, as well as a Communication property. The latter contains the correspondence that has been conducted directly with the legal entity (and not indirectly via a contact person). The entire correspondence with an organization, i.e., the correspondence that has been conducted both directly with the organization and indirectly via contact persons, appears in the journal.
