Class Hierarchy

Object > BasicObject > TemplateCategory > DocumentCategory

A DocumentCategory represents a type of business objects, independently of the business object's object class. Each business object can be assigned to a category. By doing so, properties defined at the category are taken over to the business object, e.g. "shortform", "sdtprocess", or "boresponsibility.
